In compliance with COVID-19 protocols, we will be limiting the number of large gatherings we will be hosting this year. Our Opening Ceremonies will be a socially distanced event, and we will be holding an amended “Closing Ceremonies” for each team after their final game.

Featuring guest coaches Oz Sailors (former NCAA college baseball pitcher USA Baseball Women’s National Team player), Beth Greenwood (NCAA college baseball player), and BFA Captains playing high school baseball on teams across the country.

 

USA BASEBALL WOMEN’S NATIONAL TEAM MEET & GREET

Tuesday, July 20 @ 3 – 4 PM | Near BFA merch table by Cal Ripken Sr. Field

We are proud to have current Baseball For All players, Denae Benites (19U Evolution Girls Baseball) and Alexia Jorge (19U Boston Slammers), and USAWNT gold medal-winning coach, Alex Oglesby (19U Evolution Girls Baseball), will join us to meet with players, take photos, and talk more about playing for the USA Baseball Women’s National Team.

 

COLLEGE BASEBALL PLAYERS MEET & GREET

Wednesday, July 21 @ 3 – 4 PM | Near BFA merch table

Get a chance to meet four current rostered college baseball players currently working with, coaching for, and playing at BFA Nationals 2021: Beth Greenwood (University of Rochester), Luisa Gauci (Green River College), Skylar Kaplan (Anne Arundel Community College), and Alexia Jorge (St. Elizabeth University). They’ll be here to talk to interested college baseball players, take photos, and answer questions.

 

AAGPBL AUTOGRAPH SIGNING FEATURING ILLUSTRATOR ANIKA ORROCK — PLUS SPECIAL SURPRISE GUEST 

Thursday, July 22  @ 11 AM – 1:30 PM | Near BFA merch table 

Baseball illustrator and author, Anika Orrock will be on site to sign copies of her new book, The Incredible Women of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. She will be joined by players from the original AAGPBL like Maybelle Blair, Shirley Burkovich, Jeneane Lesko, and Gloria McCloskey to sign autographs and take photos with players.

Opening Ceremonies

Note: Teams and their coaches will be gathering in a “staging area” at Nationals Field before they parade into Cal Sr.’s Yard. (Please see the map.) Volunteers will be on site to help guide you once you get to Nationals Field.


Time:

7:00 PM: Coaches registration opens at Nationals Field

7:30 PM: Players welcome to join their teams in staging area at Nationals Field

8:00 PM: Coaches registration closes

8:30 PM: Parade begins


Dress:
Full uniform (sneakers or rubber cleats; BFA hat)


Professional Pictures:
Event pictures will be taken by Major League Photos.


Summary:

All players and families will be able take part in Cal Sr.’s Yard for a socially distanced team parade, welcoming remarks, pictures, and more.

Closing Ceremonies


Date:
Thursday, July 22


Location:

Teams who are playing in medal games will receive them immediately after the game at the field they are playing on.


Time:
Right after game.


Dress:
Stay in full uniform, jerseys tucked in.
Note: Photos and video will be taken.


Summary:

Closing ceremonies will be held at games’ fields and will include the two teams competing. Medals will be given for Gold, Silver, Bronze and Sportsmanship.
