We are proud to provide our players and coaches with unique and exclusive events during BFA Nationals 2023 at The Ripken Experience Elizabethtown. All events are free to our participants. Check back for updates on even more exciting events that will be added throughout the tournament.

Opening Ceremonies | July 12, 2023

Note: Teams and their coaches will be lining up in a “staging area” on Field 9 before they parade onto the Field 11. Volunteers will be on site to help guide you and your team to your designated spot. 


Time:

8:45 AM: Coaches’ Check-In

9:30 AM: Teams & players arrive

  • Official Photography: Each team will go through a quick and efficient team photography session before or after Opening Ceremonies in an area set up between Fields 9 and 11. Please contact your coach for your team’s official photo time.

9:45 AM: Teams line up for parade

10:30 AM: Opening Ceremony Parade begins


Dress:
Full uniform (sneakers or rubber cleats; BFA hat)


Concessions:

Select concession stands will be open starting at 9AM. Credit Cards accepted.

 

Summary:
All players and coaches are invited to participate in Opening Ceremonies, including welcoming remarks, photos, and more during our official kickoff to BFA Nationals 2023. Admission and parking is free. All families are welcome. Seating is on a first-come, first served basis; families are encouraged to bring seating and pop-up tents to enjoy Opening Ceremonies.

Meet the Legendary Maybelle Blair & Anne Ramsey | Thursday, July 13

Location: Main Pavillion

Time: 3:45PM – 4:30 PM

All teams are invited for a meet-and-greet session with Maybelle Blair, a member of the All-American Girls’ Professional Baseball League, and Anne Ramsey, who played Helen Haley in the 1992 classic film, A League of Their Own. Each player will have an opportunity to take photos with Maybelle and Anne and receive autographs.

This is a FREE event and open to all BFA Nationals participants.

18U Games at Historic Bosse Field | Saturday, July 15

Location: Bosse Field | 23 Don Mattingly Way, Evansville, IN 47711

Time: 12PM–5:30PM

All fans are welcome to watch a full day of games as our 18U teams play at the historic Bosse Field, the home of the Racine Belles in the classic 1992  film, A League of Their Own. The stadium has also been recorded as one of the oldest still in use in the country.

Admission is FREE for all spectators.

Medal Ceremonies | Saturday, July 15 & Sunday, July 16

Location:
Teams who are playing in medal games will receive them immediately on the field they are playing on.


Time:
Immediately after the game.


Dress:
Stay in full uniform, jerseys tucked in.
