BFA Junior Captains 2023 Application

Baseball For All Junior Captains are a handpicked group of girls in baseball in 6th – 8th grade who will been selected based on their vision, drive, and passion for growing girls baseball in their communities. Over six months, these Junior Captains will have an opportunity to develop leadership skills on and off the field, while also receiving mentorship from female high school baseball players. Each Junior Captain will also have the opportunity to complete an independent project to encourage, inspire, and create opportunities for other girls in baseball—just like herself.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

– Must be a current 6th – 8th grader

– Must be currently playing baseball (middle school, junior high, travel team, or BFA team)

– Must have participated in at least one Baseball For All event in the past (Nationals, regional tournaments, traveling teams, clinics, international programs, etc.)

– Must be able to commit to one full term of the program: 4 months starting June 2023

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW

– Plan, develop, and execute one player-led project related to girls in baseball with the help from their partnered BFA Captain

– Commit to a once-a-month call video meeting with all BFA Captains

– Provide creative input for various aspects of Baseball For All

– Participate in Captains-focused social media & media initiatives
