Read On Lead On Program
This fall, we invite you to join a new nationwide program to help keep girls actively connected to baseball—even when they’re not on the field. The Read On, Lead On Program is a literacy- and leadership-focused program designed to give baseball players an opportunity to read about, connect with, and learn from notable figures in baseball to inspire them to become future leaders in the game.
All participants will read the award-winning Out of Left Field by Ellen Klages, a story centered around a young girl in baseball fighting for equal rights on the baseball field. During the program, players will also have an opportunity to hear from the author during an exclusive Q&A and connect with inspirational men and women in baseball during a one-on-one interview to learn what it takes to be a true leader in the sport.
The cost of the program is free. Open to girls ages 9–18. This 6-week program starts on September 28 and will end on November 2.
